The

non-profit legal entity established on the 24th May 2001, by a number
of current and retired employees of the Force and their families,

The
Long Island Camp Facility is a multi-purpose employee recreation,
training, community-based policing and public relations facility,
located near Ottawa on approximately 10 acres of land on the eastern
shore of the Rideau River at the north end of Long Island.
The

as a summer camp for employees of the Force and their families.
While employee recreation continues to be the primary use during
the summer months; the site is used by the Force for meetings, training
sessions, delivery of community-based policing events, and hosting
Force-sponsored public relations events with groups such as the
Cubs, Scouts, Guides, Brownies, area schools, service and church
