Long Island camp is located on the Rideau River at Long Island Locks, approximately 5 kilometres north of Manotick, Ontario and approximately 26 kilometres south of downtown Ottawa.
The facilities are rustic and relaxing with 14 cabins and 54 trailer sites and one cottage available for rent. The cabins and one cottage sleep six persons, and are available from 1:00 pm Sunday to 12:00 noon of the following Sunday. The trailer sites can accommodate various sizes, from tents to larger trailer units. Force members or employees from outside the Ottawa area, travelling through or on vacation will be provided a site without reservation based on availability.

THE CAMPING FACILITIES OPEN THE MAY LONG WEEKEND AND CLOSES THE THANKS GIVING WEEKEND IN OCTOBER
- Annual cabin applications will be accepted only after January 1st.
- Cabin applications may be submitted either by e-mail or by post addressed to the Camp Facilities Manager.
- RCMP employees from outside the Ottawa area may book for two weeks; those from Ottawa may book for one week
- Preference for booking will be given to RCMP employees up until 30 April
- Cheques post dated not later than the 15th April
- Confirmation of all applications will be made after 15 April
- Limit - one family per cabin.
